About our Foundation
Global Educational Foundation (GEF) was founded in 2020 as the charitable arm of Global Outreach Charter Academy (GOCA). GEF was founded to advance student and community development. GEF supports GOCA by fundraising and helping direct money towards student achievement, parent engagement, and bringing value to the students and parents of Jacksonville, Florida. GOCA currently services 1800 students K-12 in the Arlington suburb of Jacksonville, Florida.
Our most recent activity at GOCA and GEF has revolved around sending students to other countries where they can help solve real-world problems. We launched our first outreach trip to Columbia in the summer of 2022, where students traveled to a Non-Profit in Medellin, Colombia. Our team helped Homeless people, Venezuelan refugees, and many other needs.
In light of the Ukrainian Refugee Crisis, GOCA and GEF has opened their doors to Ukrainian Refuge students and are helping them with English acquisition, school supplies, and integration into the City of Jacksonville.
